Southampton have struggled to find goals of late and especially in front of the home crowd in St Mary’s. It has been evident in the barren draw with Swansea and Huddersfield as well as the two nil loss to Wolves in the League Cup. Marco Silva is rapidly rebuilding the confidence of the Watford side and this has been seen through the three all draw with Liverpool on the opening day of the season followed by a two nil away win over Bournemouth before drawing with Brighton. Southampton have failed to score in 86% of their last seven home games and 43% of these have ended up in nil nil draws. Watford will have an excellent chance of extending the unbeaten run and may even cause an upset in this match.

Southampton are free from injury and will expect to have a full squad for the match. Watford are missing Miguel Britos through suspension while Craig Cathcart, Daryl Janmaat, Roberto Peryra, Younel Kaboul, Tobbie Hoban and Mauro Zarate are all out injured.
