Real Sociedad opening match was somehow a tough game. Their pre-season did not go so well which resulted in a slight underestimation of the team. However, that did not stop them from grabbing a win. Their away game with Celta saw them go home with 3 points in their opening season match. The game almost ended in a 2-2 draw, but William Jose did not waste a penalty opportunity. The team is occupying the third place on the league table.

On the other hand, Villarreal opening match was a loss. They played against their host Levante, losing by a solitary goal. Their rivals left Villareal without any points, and now sit at the bottom of the league table.
